Hi Luke
Here's a few answers for you.
* Engines were painted Ford Blue with Orange Rocker covers. Just had Ford Logo on them from memory but will check on that.
* 2 Barrel Carb. More than likely an Autolight with 4" flange to air cleaner. 2 BBL Stromberg was an XA very early XB carb. Air Cleaner was blue with large snorkel same as 4 barrel with hot air valve snorkel.
* Distributor was single points mechanical with Vac advance.
The only pollution equipment on these was a charcoal cannister and from looking at mine it doesn't connect to the air cleaner like an XC or XD.
Hope this helps.

Gday,
I had a Gossy and I remember selling the Autolite carby off it in 1989. Problem is, people are saying it had the Email Carter or Stromberg on it.
Who can verify?
Cheers

The carby confusion may have come from the 2 builds they did of these and when pollution control changes took effect, my Goss is a late one and has a charcoal cannister, seeing as they used the WW Stromberg all the way back to XW it would be my guess, the later cars would have the Autolite. The aircleaner tells the story, 4" opening would be an Autolight or Motorcraft. The Stromberg has a much smaller aircleaner flange and therefore different aircleaner can, more like the 6 cyl one.
Hope this helps.
